Swimsuit Care
What are the do's and don'ts when caring for
your swimwear?
It is
essential to take proper care of your swimwear,
if you wish for it to last its normal lifespan.
If you follow these simple care tips we have
provided you with, you will tend to get plenty
of life from your swimwear.
o
Always hand wash your swimwear as soon as you
take it off in cool or cold water.
You will eliminate most of the
salt and chlorine which are the principle
chemicals that affect the Nylon and spandex
fibers.
Use a
mild hand soap or a very mild detergent made for
delicate fabrics. Do not soak for extended
periods of time.
o
Never leave wet swimwear bundled together.
Avoid putting your swimsuit away
until it is completely dry. If it is stored
while still wet or humid, it could become
discolored.
Don't leave the suit soaking overnight, bundled,
wadded up, or rolled in a towel. This will cause
the colors to bleed.
o
When applying oil based sun tan
lotions, avoid direct contact with your swimsuit
since the oils will naturally cause the swimsuit
elastics to breakdown.
o
Hand wash the swimsuit prior to the first wear
to set the colors.
o
Never Machine wash or tumble dry.
Never
Dry Clean Swimwear.
o
Never Iron your Swimwear.
o
Never Ever Use Bleach or Woolite.
Squeeze out excess water Very Gently and lay
flat, preferably on a dry towel away from direct
sun light. Long exposure to the sun will fade
your swimwear over time. |
